Edited to add: I realize now that this post looks odd on my new blog but I’m keeping it here! So no, this is not MY last post, just THE last post on my old blog. An era has ended.
This is quite possibly my last post on Mama Wants This and I don’t have anything profound to tell you.
Except my new blog IS SO VERY NEARLY READY.
Everything’s there except for the nearly 400 posts and countless pictures on here, that needs to be moved, which will happen on Monday. Which means this lil ol’ blog here? Will be offline until Wednesday.
I’m shitting myself because I worry that I will lose something along the way. Posts, comments, subscribers and so on. However, I’ve put this massive job in the very capable hands of my girl Vanita (she writes After Bedtime Blog) who has been AWESOME in assuring me that all will be well.
So, while I can’t enthrall you with any writing for at least 5 days, I thought I’d talk to you guys via my new Facebook page. But you gotta go like it first! If you already like my old Facebook page and you’re like, why don’t you just change names? I’ll tell you why. Because Facebook hates me – that is, someone whose page is for a personal blog, with over 200 likes on their page. So I have to START OVER, people.
Sigh.
And if you do go like the new Facebook page, you’ll see the new blog name and get an idea of the new design. See, win-win for everyone!
If by end of next week you don’t get any new posts via RSS or email, please let me know!!
And with that, I’ll say see you later, this is not goodbye.

I know how stressful it is. I can’t get everything to transfer – I’m going to have to call in the cavalry.
OMG I was stressed even before I began. There is so much information and the technical language was killing me! Thank goodness I found someone who can do this for me with confidence.
Lady Estrogen, if you’re importing from a wp dot com or a self hosted wp site, take a look at your exported .xml file’s size. if it’s around 30mb or over, it may be the reason you’re unable to transfer everything. if so, no worries it’s fixable and i can tell you how. just let me know.
