When you’re breastfeeding around the clock (okay, 8-10 times a day, whatever, that’s pretty much around the clock), you tend to have a lot of time to let your mind wander (or fall asleep).
And when you have two children who aren’t really verbal (crying, screaming and speaking toddler language does not count), you tend to talk to yourself a lot.
Also, you might find yourself making to-do lists in your head.
Wait, just me?
These are some random thoughts that have popped into my head the past week or so:
“Damn, why are these baby onesies so fiddly??”
“Oooh, Oreos.”
“I wonder what everyone else is doing at 4.00am. “
“Spit up smells nasty.”
“Mmmm, nice baby smell.”
“I hope Monkey knows I love him.”

“Oooh, chocolate.”
“Hot tea. Aahhhh.”
“Showers are soul lifters.”
“Gosh I love my boys.”
“I’d kill for a red velvet cupcake.”
“Ouch, boobs.”
“Aha, blog idea!”
“When was the last time I went to the bathroom?”
“Can I be bothered to clean up that mess?”
“Thus begins the endless loads of laundry.”
“I’m so lucky my mother-in-law is a good cook.”
“Where’s my camera?!”
“I really suck at this sling/ babywearing thing. I have 4 and they’re nowhere to be seen on me.”
“Gosh, it’s hot.”
“I really should sleep. Ooh, interesting blog post….”
“Are people bored of baby pictures yet? Ah, who cares.”
9 days old
“I really hope my boys know I love them.”
“Oooh, Oreos.” (yes, again)
“Thank god it’s 9pm and they’re both sleeping.”
