The Sofa

Modular sofa

I may be the only blogger who’s featured her sofa more than once.

What? I spend a lot of time on it.

Recently, my husband had a brilliant idea. Since the sofa is modular, why don’t we switch things around??

And so we did.

The above is the result.

A family friendly sofa.

Not so friendly for a pregnant woman who has to scoot off or climb over the arm. Or walk across the length of the sofa to the ‘opening’ you see pictured.

BUT, now, we all lounge around during family time, the hour before the Monkey goes to bed. He lolls around in the middle (hence the Lion and the Crocodile are present at all times).

I use the coffee table that’s been pushed to the side as a ‘desk’ (i.e. where my drinks and snacks go).

And if we so choose, we can ALL nap together on it!

When the baby arrives, I’m guessing he’s gonna be somewhere on that massive sofa.

What else do you suggest we can do on that sofa? No naughty ideas though!

In other news, I’m over at Coffee Lovin’ Mom today talking about pie, among other interesting things! Come say hi, if you’re free – after all, she always has the coffee on!

Freaky

Toddler and person-shaped balloon

The toddler came home from his grandparents place with this creepy person-shaped balloon a couple of days ago.

Aside from it moving by itself throughout the house at all hours (I am not kidding), the toddler insists on holding onto it frequently. Example above: watching TV and hanging out with Creepy-Big-Head-Person-Balloon.

It’s watching me.

Someone save me! Anyone?

Word-ish Wednesday: A Boy and a Basketball Court

I’m just going to sit down for a while, Mama.

I mean, lie down.

In fact, I’m just gonna take a quick snooze.

Alright, I won’t. I’ll pose like a wannabe model/ sun worshipper instead.

Or I’ll just sprawl right out because I’m 2 years old.

We have to do this more often, Mama!

Anyone else’s 2 year old loves doing bizarre things?
